Gotta love a DIY project! I had some matchbooks sa Gotta love a DIY project! I had some matchbooks saved, and then we were also gifted some vintage ones! For a first-time project, I think they turned out pretty well! 👏🏻 Collect your matchbooks and get all the craft materials here: https://www.amazon.com/shop/thebetslife/list/2F6IQ1Q2X7X35?ref_=aipsflist 🛒 - Mod Podge your matchbooks and matchsticks. You can use a small paint brush or a sponge brush. I found that I had some discoloration on the white/lighter boxes, so maybe do a couple of coats on those to be safe? Or maybe go for darker colors? I did one coat of Mod Podge on everything. I let everything dry out for a day (although, I don’t think you would have to wait this long). - Follow the instructions on the box of the epoxy resin. Wear gloves and mix equal parts, stirring together for a few minutes. I mixed in plastic red cups that I later disposed of. Fill the coaster mold cups halfway with the mixture. - I waited 1 hour until the mixture was a bit tacky and then I added the matchbooks. The matchsticks/books may move around a bit, and you can always use tweezers to reposition. - I waited 5 hours and then filled the rest of the molds up to the top with more epoxy resin. Leave molds for 24 hours and then remove. The coasters should pop out easily! What do you think of these? Let me know how your coasters turn out too!
