Episode 11: WOMEN ARE FUNNY With Stand-UP Comedian, Julia Austin

In today’s episode, I interview one of my childhood friends, Julia Austin. Julia is a stand-up comedian with over a decade of experience. In 2020, she was named one of the top 10 comics to watch live by Time Out LA Magazine. Julia also performed at the 2022 Netflix Is A Joke Fest and was also a finalist at the Funny Women’s Festival.

Raised in Santa Barbara, Julia now resides in North Hollywood with her husband and mini poodle, Cookie. We discuss the realities of stand-up, hecklers, good/bad advice, joke inspiration, and what it’s like being married to another comic.
