I’m always trying to add more reusable items and practices into my life. I’ve found that choosing reusable options can be easy and convenient – sometimes you may need to purchase a couple of items or plan ahead a little bit, but it’s worth it. Every plastic water bottle, coffee cup, shopping bag, plastic bag etc. that we don’t use really adds up. Here are 10 reusable products and practices that I recommend:
Reusable bags for groceries are a no-brainer – I always have some in my car to use. But recently I purchased produce bags to take to the grocery store/farmers’ market so that I’m not using fruit and veggie bags anymore.
I keep a compactible bag in my purse at all times. This one is an old Free People one (repurposing!) but there are also bags that fold up into cute little pouches. Whether I’m buying makeup or gifts, this helps me skip a bag at checkout.
A friend gifted me a fold-up utensil and napkin set, which I think is adorable! This set is easy to throw in a purse or bag and can come in handy for picnics or travel.
I use a reusable coffee cup and water bottle pretty much daily. You can see from the state of my Hydro Flask that it is well-loved. I like to keep a reusable mug in my car for when I’m out and about and want to grab coffee or a latte. I’m a big fan of Yeti mugs too as they really keep coffee hot.
We have so many types of reusable straws – I didn’t even realize this until I started to write this post. We have straws in different colors, materials, and sizes. If you come over to our house for a cocktail, we have you covered.
In the kitchen, I keep beeswax for wrapping up leftovers. I have snack bags which are great for eating on the go. The blue item is a stretchable cover – you can cover food or use it as a lid to seal containers. All of these options are perfect for eliminating plastic sandwich bags and plastic wrap!
A bento box is a wonderful option for packing lunches or snacks. I like that the utensils are included too and that the whole thing packs up nicely to save space. It also doesn’t hurt that it looks darling as well.
Even making small changes can have a long-lasting environmental impact! What are some reusable items that you love? Please comment and share below.
